Turn a photo of any document into a clean, flat PDF.
Getting started
Scanning a page
Tap Scan and photograph the document, or Import to use
pictures you already have. Confirm the outline and Armadillo Scan flattens the page.
Fixing the outline
Drag any corner to adjust it. Tap anywhere on the page to add an extra point — useful for a
folded or curved edge — and double-tap a point to remove it. Reset re-detects the page.
Adjusting colour and light
Open Adjust area on a page, select a region (rectangle or free form), change
brightness, contrast, saturation, warmth or tint, then tap Apply. Repeat for other areas; Undo
steps back.
Long receipts
Tap Receipt and photograph the tape in overlapping sections down its length — each
shot should share about half its height with the one before. Armadillo Scan joins them into one
continuous strip, reads the shop, date and line items, and offers them for you to correct before
they are filed in the inventory.
The purchase inventory
Open it from the list icon at the top of the home screen, or from Settings. It totals what you
spent per category for the month, the year, or all time. Tap a category to filter, or a receipt to
correct anything the scan misread.
Searching
Type into the search box and press Search (or the keyboard's Search key). Results are
ordered by how well they match, and the search covers the words ON your pages as well as file
names.
Saving
Choose One PDF to combine all pages into a single document, or Separate PDFs
for one file per page. Every PDF includes a searchable text layer. Save into any folder in Files or
iCloud Drive — a copy is also kept in the app, so it is one tap away next time.
Common questions
Does Armadillo Scan need an internet connection?
No. Everything runs on your device, and the app never sends your documents anywhere.
Where are my scans kept?
In Armadillo Scan's private storage on your iPhone. Swipe left on a scan to delete it.
Can I reorder pages?
Yes — use the up and down arrows on each page in the review screen.
